Stifel Starts Bassett Furniture (BSET) at Hold

Stifel initiated coverage on Bassett Furniture (NASDAQ: BSET) with a Hold rating. Analyst John A. Baugh sees limited near-term upside.

"The reason for the Hold rating instead of a Buy is solely because FY2016 growth on the top line is expected to be modest compared with the recent past. This in tandem with the strong performance of the equity over the past 24 months limits near-term upside in our opinion. Valuation is reasonable compared to peers and absolute fundamental metrics. If growth re accelerates, that would be the catalyst for an upgrade, all else being equal."
