Symantec (SYMC) Sees Q3 Results at Upper-End of Expectations

Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) provided an update on expected results for the third fiscal quarter of 2016. The Company anticipates that it will report GAAP Revenue, Non-GAAP Operating Margin and Non-GAAP diluted EPS for the third fiscal quarter of 2016 that are above the midpoint of the guidance provided in its press release dated November 5, 2015.

That guidance, and these views on anticipated results for the third quarter, exclude the operations of Symantec’s Veritas information management business. Symantec is filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission a Form 8-K setting forth certain information regarding the preliminary operating results of Veritas for the quarter ended January 1, 2016.

These views on anticipated results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2016 are based on management’s initial review of operations for the third quarter ended January 1, 2016 and are subject to the completion of Symantec's customary quarterly closing and review procedure. Symantec will announce the results of its fiscal third quarter on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
