Since 1973, the Alumni Fellow Award has been presented to select Penn State graduates that are nominated by an academic college and accept an invitation from the President of the University to return to campus. Recipients are regarded as leaders in their professional fields and the award provides an opportunity to share their expertise with students, faculty and administrators. Richards is recognized as a business transformation expert, known for achieving swift operational and financial turnarounds, marked by record corporate revenue and profitability growth. Richards began his career in 1984 at AT&T and has held previous senior executive positions at Excel Communications and RMH Teleservices. For the past 11 years, Richards has led firms across multiple industries, serving as the President or CEO of Transworld Systems Inc., PRC LLC and Muzak LLC. In each case, Richards delivered rapid top and bottom line result enhancements for these entities.
