Saqoia Launches Golta.com, a New Powerful Search Engine
NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 09/16/15 -- Saqoia Corp, which is a fast-growing Internet company with a focus on data organization and search, has just added a new search engine called Golta.com to its portfolio. Golta has been under development for three years by a highly experienced search technology team. It's currently in beta mode with the full version expected to go live in mid-December.
About Golta.com Golta searches the entire web and sorts billions of data in a millisecond. A paid premium membership of 9 USD a year will give the user a wide range of opportunities to work with search results that can not be accessed via Google or other search engines. Among others, it will also be much easier to filter, compare and save searches on Golta. These features are now at the internal testing stage but will be available to users from mid-December.
Forward Looking Statements Rasmus Refer, best known for being the founder of Masterseek, the world's largest business search engine, is the force behind the launch of Golta.com. "We will listen to our users and aim at developing the best features to search without tracking the users," says Rasmus. He further adds, "Though there is significant competition in the form of specialized search engines such as Yelp, Ask, and TripAdvisor, not to mention Facebook, there is still room for new and better search engines as long as they meet the needs of users."
Future Plans The company has also announced that it expects to go public in the US. Therefore, the launch of the search engine Golta can be seen to be a strategically good move. Through this, Saqoia hopes to raise up to 60 million USD for the search engine, which potentially could be one of the most ambitious search projects since the launch of Google in 1998.
