GoPro (GPRO) Devices Dominate Competition in Tech Blog Comparison Test

GoPro (Nasdaq: GPRO) received some accolades with a product review from TheVerge posted on Tuesday.

The review tested the following action cameras to determine which was the best of the bunch:

• GoPro Hero 4 Black
• GoPro Hero 4 Silver
• Sony 4K Action Cam
• Garmin VIRB XE
• TomTom Bandit Action Camera
• GoPro Hero 4 Session
• Ion Air Pro 3
• Garmin VIRB Elite
• Drift Ghost-S
• JVC Adixxion

The GoPro Hero 4 Black was the winner of the test, with the GoPro Hero 4 Silver coming in second.

Positives mentioned for the GoPro Hero 4 Black included a wide field of view, the ability to shoot 4K video, several slow-motion modes, overall size, and improved menu navigation. However, battery life seemed to be the biggest issue with the device.

The various number of mounts also kept GoPro in the 1 and 2 spots.

Of course, the Black and Silver come in at around $500 and $400 each, respectively. That means those with a smaller budget will have to settle for something less (the JVC Adixxion, which came in last place, sells for about $185.7 on Amazon.com.)
