Apple (AAPL), Disney (DIS) Hold Strong as Dow Ends in Negative Territory
While the Doe Jones Industrial Average closed down 1.3 percent, or 204.91 points, to 15,666.44 today, two components were able to "stave off the selloff."
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) ended Tuesday's session up about 0.6 percent, while Disney (NYSE: DIS) also ended around 0.6 percent higher. While Apple is negative in the after-hours session, Disney shares are flat.
In terms of the S&P 500, about 417 stocks, or 83 percent of the index, ended lower, while 72 components in the Nasdaq 100 finished trading in red territory.
