Yahoo! (YHOO) Adds New Package and Event Reminders to Yahoo! Mail

Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO) posted the following to its Official Mail Tumblr page on Thursday:

With our new package and event reminders, Yahoo Mail now does the work for you! No need to search through emails to see when your package will be delivered or find the address for today’s birthday party.

Now we include visual and informative package and event notifications at the top of your inbox for quick viewing. When Amazon sends an order email, you’ll see a package notification that has shortcuts to shipment tracking and the original email for your order.

For upcoming events from sites such as Eventbrite, Fandango, Ticketmaster and others, Yahoo Mail shows you a snapshot of the event details and a quick link to the original invite and directions. Once you’ve read the event or package notification, you can simply dismiss it.

This new experience is rolling out to U.S. users over the next few days. We will also continue to expand on the types of notifications you will see in your inbox. We hope this makes your Yahoo Mail experience even more informative and helpful!
