Gold Stocks Bid Higher Ahead of Fed Minutes (ABX) (GLD)
Gold stocks were bid higher Tuesday, with Barrick Gold (NYSE: ABX), Goldcorp (NYSE: GG), Newmont Mining (NYSE: NEM), Gold Fields (NYSE: GFI) and others gaining ground, while spot gold prices and ETFs like SPDR Gold Trust (NYSE: GLD) traded higher.
Action comes ahead of the release of Fed minutes scheduled at 2 pm today.
There was also action in FX markets overnight with Vietnam devaluing its currency after China's yuan devaluation last week. Kazakhstan also devalued its currency.
