ServiceNow Panel at CIO 100 Event Features Three CIOs Doing Just That

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ServiceNow®(NYSE: NOW), the enterprise cloud company, will host a panel of CIOs who will discuss how they have shifted the culture in their companies to drive new levels of workplace productivity and innovation at this year’s CIO 100 Symposium & Awards event on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

A recent survey revealed that employees spend nearly two days a week on non-strategic administrative activities. In an organization with 5,000 employees, these unnecessary tasks and inefficient processes consume up to 4 million hours per year – that’s the equivalent of 2,000 full-time employees. Few companies can afford that in today’s data-driven digital economy. Collectively across the United States, companies are spending $575 billion a year on this productivity drain. That’s the equivalent of 3.3% of the US gross domestic product.

The panel of three CIOs, moderated by Chris Pope, senior director of strategy at ServiceNow, will explore ways organizations are changing how they work. Attendees will learn how these CIOs have led changes in culture, process and technology in their companies to improve the employee service experience. The panelists will share specifics on how they identified opportunities for change and the steps they took to improve productivity.

The panelists include:

“Driving new levels of productivity requires a culture shift led by the CIO,” said Pope. “As change agents, CIOs can streamline and automate their company’s internal business services to get back the wasted time from undue administrative work. Service management is the new enterprise discipline to address the corporate productivity drain.”
