Microsoft (MSFT) Plans to Bring Windows 10 to Xbox One in November

Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows 10 has been largely lauded as a step in the right direction away from Windows 8. And later this year, Xbox One owners will also be able to run the operating system on their gaming consoles.

According to The Verge, Windows 10 will make its way to Xbox One in November. The update will include features that aim to improve speed and performance of the system, will also introducing integration of Cortana to the console. Cortana will be voice activated and users will need the Kinect device in order to make full user of the virtual assistant.

The news was presented at Gamescom 2015 today.

Shares of Microsoft are up 1.4 percent.
