Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) has begun granting access for the general public to download the beta version of iOS 9 today.
According to Apple's dedicated website: "Help make the next releases of iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan our best yet. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can take part in shaping Apple software by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think."
(NOTE: The site is slow for some users, but does eventually load up.)
ZDNet also noted that users shouldn't install the preview operating system in your primary iPhone or iPad due to some instability issues.
The final version of iOS 9 will likely be available later in Q3.
Shares of Apple are down 1.3 percent.
