Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) new Edge browser may not be landing at a better time for the company.
The latest data from NetMarketshare has Internet Explorer losing 1.15 points of desktop browser share from May to June for total market share of 54.0 percent. IE is down 4.39 points from June 2014.
Google (Nasdaq: GOOG)(Nasdaq: GOOGL) Chrome saw market share increase 0.86 points to 27.23 percent. Year-over-year, Chrome gained 7.89 points.
Mozilla Firefox notably added 0.18 points in June for 12.06 percent share, while the browser is down 3.48 points from June 2014.
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) Safari saw a modest 0.05 point gain sequentially last month, while the browser is own about 0.29 points from last year for overall share of 4.99 percent.
