UPDATE - According to the report, the Obama administration believes that the hack of the Office of Personnel Management resulted in two breaches.
FBI officials believe China may have been behind the hack and the breach allowed hackers to access personnel files and security clearance forms. Chinese officials denied being involved in the event.
The personnel file breach was reported earlier in the month, while the security clearance breach is a new event.
On the Social Security number theft, one official said noted that the numbers were unverified and preliminary.
