On May 1, 2015, U. S. Physical Therapy, Inc. (the “Company”) announced it has purchased a majority interest in a three-clinic physical therapy business. The business sees more than 30,000 patient visits per year and generates approximately $3.4 million in annual revenue. The purchase was effective April 30, 2015.  The purchase price for the 70% interest was $4,800,000.

U.S. Physical Therapy Makes Acquisition

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2015--U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. (NYSE: USPH), a national operator of outpatient physical therapy clinics, announced today that the Company has acquired a 70% interest in a three locations physical therapy practice. The business sees more than 30,000 patient visits per year and generates approximately $3.4 million in annual revenue. The purchase price was $4.8 million.

Founded in 1990, U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. operates 497 outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinics in 42 states. The Company's clinics provide preventative and post-operative care for a variety of orthopedic-related disorders and sports-related injuries, treatment for neurologically-related injuries and rehabilitation of injured workers. In addition to owning and operating clinics, the Company manages 17 physical therapy facilities for third parties, including hospitals and physician groups.
