Rovi Corp. (ROVI) Tops Q1 EPS by 2c

Rovi Corp. (NASDAQ: ROVI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.39, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $134 million versus the consensus estimate of $131.83 million.

Rovi Corp. sees FY2015 EPS of $1.55-$1.65, versus the consensus of $1.72. Rovi Corp. sees FY2015 revenue of $535-565 million, versus the consensus of $548.96 million.

“Rovi delivered solid results during the first quarter,” said Tom Carson, President and CEO of Rovi. “Additionally, our recently announced IP and product agreement with Charter and conversational search agreement with DISH affirm the health of Rovi’s licensing business and validate our next-generation product strategy.”
