Pharma Deals Dominate M&A Activity in Early 2015 (VRX) (SLXP) (SPG) (NXPI)
The following are the top 10 M&A deals happening to-date in 2015. The list was compiled by the WSJ.
Notably, Salix is in there twice for two different takeover approaches.
Total value of the deals is around $152.8 billion. But, again, that includes two bids for the same company. Excluding the Valeant bid, and total value is around $138.2 billion.
Pharma is also a dominant sector with Pfizer, AbbVie, and Endo all making big acquisitions this year.
