January 27, 2015 2:41 PM EST

Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) is said to have released an iOS 8.1.3 software update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users today.

9to5mac noted that iOS 8.1.3 will fix various bugs and also reduce the amount of free storage required to perform the update, which has been a common complaint in the past. The latest data has just about 70 percent of iOS users upgraded to iOS 8. While those that bought a device already running iOS 8 have reported that the updates require as little as 600 megabytes (MB), users upgrading from iOS 7 have found updates eating 3 gigabytes (GB) or more.

Bug fixes for the latest update include entering Apple ID passwords with Messages and FaceTime, missing app results on Spotlight search, and multitasking gesture performance on iPad.

Shares of Apple are down 1.7 percent Tuesday.
