McDonald's Japan (MCD) Reports No Ties Between Thai Plant and Plastic Found in McNugget

The operator of McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) in Japan said there is no link between plastic found in a Chicken McNugget earlier this month an a Thailand processing plant.

Following an investigation, McDonald's Holdings Co (Japan) Ltd. said the Thai plant didn't use the same plastic material as that which was found in the food item. The company also said employees at the Thai plant were following proper procedures for checking belongings when entering the facility.

The plastic incident happened in Misawa in northern Japan.
