In his predictions for 2015, T-Mobile's (NYSE: TMUS) often-outspoken CEO John Legere predicted, among other more company-centric things, that Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) Watch will bring wearables into the mainstream next year.
"And though we won’t see its full impact in 2015, I believe that the Apple Watch will mark the tipping point when wearables go from niche to mainstream," he said in a recent blog post.
He sees the wearable segment going from $1 billion to $20 billion in the next few years.
Legere also sees phablet sales continuing to sky rocket with sales up at least 50% - another nod to Apple and its iPhone 6 Plus.
For one of the more company-specific predictions, he sees T-Mobile becoming the No. 3 wireless company in America in 2015 topping Sprint (NYSE: S).
