Standpoint Research downgraded Volterra Semiconductor (NASDAQ: VLTR) from Buy to Hold.
Standpoint analyst, Ronnie Moas, said, "We have been getting a nice run in many of our open tech recommendations recently [Dell (Nasdaq: DELL), VLTR, Nokia (NYSE: NOK), Mantech (Nasdaq: MANT), Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) & Harris Corp (NYSE: HRS) all moving this month] and want to take this opportunity to lock in gains and reduce an overweight in the sector. VLTR, reported last night, hit our 2011 price target today, and is our one name that could be stretched on valuation here in the near-term -- that is the name we are dropping. This completes our second round-trip in the name. We locked in a 19% gain in December and will lock in a 17% gain here. Both times we registered gains of at least 1000 bps versus the S&P on very short holding periods (of less than two months each time)."
