KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, referred to by the Cult of Mac as "the best Apple analyst on the planet", predicts Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is going to launch a next-generation 13-inch MacBook model in the third quarter of 2016 while letting the Macbook Air product line stagnate. Rather than add high-resolution Retina displays, faster chipsets and Force Touch trackpads, Apple is going to try to drive more upgrades to the mid tier MacBooks elevating the overall laptop ASP. AppleInsider highlighted the analyst comments.
