Vestas earnings preview: Jefferies expects strong Q4 to reinforce year-ahead outlook

Vestas is expected to deliver a strong fourth-quarter report that reinforces visibility into this year and 2027, according to Jefferies.

The company will release its annual report on Thursday, February 5.

Analyst Lucas Ferhani wrote in a note earlier this month, previewing the company’s earnings, that announced orders “screened well” into year-end, with broad-based wins across the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Brazil strengthening the backlog.

Jefferies expects “a strong finish with Q4 announced orders already screening well,” supporting its Buy rating and new DKK200 price target.

Order intake is seen as a key highlight. Jefferies noted that Vestas secured 5.4 gigawatts

Bank of America reiterated its Underperform rating on a leading wind energy manufacturer in a note on Thursday, warning that risks are not fully priced in despite sector growth.

“In our view [the company] suffers from high execution risk, U.S. market uncertainty and growing competition,” the analysts wrote.

The stock in question is Vestas, which trades at “5.9x 2026E EV/EBITDA, a c. 20% discount to its 10y median.”

However, BofA said, “We do not think this adequately reflects these risks.” The bank maintained a price objective of 100 DKK, raised from 88 DKK, which implies “c.16% downside potential.”
