Resource America, Inc. Reports Operating Results for the First Fiscal Quarter Ended December 31, 2011 Feb 2, 2012 07:30PM

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/02/12 -- Resource America, Inc. (NASDAQ: REXI) (the "Company") reported net income attributable to common shareholders of $185,000, or $0.01 per common share-diluted, for the first fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2011, as compared to a net loss attributable to common shareholders of $567,000, or $0.03 per common share-diluted, for the first fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2010. As of December 31, 2011, the Company's book value per common share was $6.37 per share. Total stockholders' equity was $119.9 million as of December 31, 2011 as compared to $134.0 million as of December 31, 2010.
