Blue Ridge Capital
Blue Ridge Capital is an investment partnership started by John Griffin in 1996. The firm seeks high absolute returns by investing in businesses with outstanding investment characteristics and shorts companies with fundamental problems. The investment decisions are based upon detailed and company-specific research with a long-term horizon.
Before founding Blue Ridge, Mr. Griffin joined Tiger Management in 1987 and from 1993 to 1996 was the president of the firm. Previously, he spent two years as a Financial Analyst in the Merchant Banking Group of Morgan Stanley.
