Comtech Telecommunications (CMTL) Tops Q1 EPS by 5c; Guides

Comtech Telecommunications (NASDAQ: CMTL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.28, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenue for the quarter came in at $83.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $78.2 million.

Comtech Telecommunications sees FY2014 EPS of $1.12-$1.25, versus the consensus of $1.14. Comtech Telecommunications sees FY2014 revenue of $325-345 million, versus the consensus of $328 million.

In commenting on the Company's performance and updated fiscal 2014 business outlook, Fred Kornberg, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, “Throughout the first quarter of fiscal 2014, we continued to see the signs of stabilization that we observed in certain of our end-markets during the last quarter of our fiscal 2013. We are pleased with our first quarter results and we believe that certain of our end markets may be improving.”
