FuelCell Energy Statement of Condolence on the Passing of Secretary Togo D. West Jr.

DANBURY, Conn., March 14, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FuelCell Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: FCEL) today announced with great sadness that Secretary Togo D. West Jr., a valued and respected member of the Company’s Board of Directors, passed away on the evening of March 8, 2018.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Togo D. West,” said John A. Rolls, dear friend of Secretary West and Chairman of the FuelCell Energy Board. “Togo was an inspiring leader and brought to the Board steady counsel in the areas of governance, government affairs and sound business advice. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Gail, his two daughters, Tiffany and Hilary, and all his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.”

Secretary Togo D. West Jr., member of the Executive Committee, the Compensation Committee and formerly Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, was appointed to the FuelCell Energy Board of Directors on January 30, 2008. Former U.S. Secretary of the Army from 1993 to 1998 and U.S. Secretary of Veteran Affairs from 1998 to 2000, Mr. West also served as General Counsel to the Department of Defense and the Navy. He leaves behind a legacy of achievement, including his service to many boards and organizations with honor and distinction.
