Wells Fargo upgraded Humana (NYSE: HUM) from Market Perform to Outperform with a price target range $87-96.
Analyst, Peter Costa, said, "We continue to view Medicare Advantage as a key tool to manage seniors' health care costs and help control Federal spending on Medicare. We view Humana as well positioned within Medicare Advantage and expect it to grow more rapidly than most other health insurers, not just from increasing its market share, but also due to the growing senior demographic and relative under-penetration of managed care in the senior population. Furthermore, we believe Humana has less risk associated with the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on health reform, since its key business is Medicare Advantage."
