A retail analyst at Stifel Nicolaus made an interesting call this morning, upgrading shares of Costco (Nasdaq: COST) while at the same time downgrading shares of Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT).
The firm now rates Costco shares a Buy, up from Hold previously, and now sees Wal-Mart as a Hold, down from Buy previously. Stifel believes shares of Costco will rise to $68 over the next year.
With COST shares trading up 1% to $56.31 this morning, the firm's new price target suggests potential upside of almost 21%.
