Jefferies upgraded Vivus (NASDAQ: VVUS) from Underperform to Hold with a price target of $31.00 (from $9.00).
The firm comments, "The FDA approved Qsymia (formerly Qnexa), which we see as a major win for VVUS. The label and REMS contains surprises, which include physician registration and a more complex titration regimen. Although some questions remain on commercial challenges, we are positive on the initial sales trajectory and have added a partnership to our model and revised our estimates to account for increased duration."
