Dahlman Rose Raises Ag Sector to Attractive, Upgrades POT, CF, AGU, MOS, RNF, IPI, UAN

Dahlman Rose upgraded its sector view on the Agriculture group from Cautious to Attractive Monday morning. The firm said stocks in the sector now "largely reflect the valuation eroding impact of a large crop. Given that backdrop we see only two possible outcomes, both of which point to higher share prices." Dahlman believes "if the crop is large, the shares seem to have limited downside and the likelihood of a move upward by late summer is driven by Fall application. The alternative scenario of a crop reduced by weather issues is likely to result in even greater share outperformance."

The firm upgraded the following stocks:

• Potash (NYSE: POT) from Sell to Buy, $49 price target
  
• CF Industries (NYSE: CF) from Sell to Buy, $200 price target
  
• Agrium (NYSE: AGU) from Hold to Buy, $98 price target
  
• Mosaic (NYSE: MOS) from Hold to Buy, $60 price target
  
• Rentech Nitrogen (NYSE: RNF) from Hold to Buy, $29 price target
  
• Interpid Potash (NYSE: IPI) from Sell to Hold
  
• CVR Partners (NYSE: UAN) from Sell to Hold
