Citi Upgrades AMN Healthcare Services (AHS) to Hold

November 5, 2008 8:34 AM EST

Citi upgrades AMN Healthcare Services (NYSE: AHS) from Sell to Hold. Price target lowered from $13 to $10.

Citi analyst says, "Since April, our Sell rating on AHS has been predicated on the view that the company operates a cyclical business at peak earnings. We believe that the sequentially declining EPS guidance for 4Q serves to prove our point. We believe 2009 earnings could decelerate further. That said, our view of normalized, midcycle earnings power of 91c is unchanged. We believe investors should value the company on normalized earnings and are closing out our Sell rating by upgrading to Hold."

AMN Healthcare Services, Inc. is a healthcare staffing company that provides travel nurse and allied staffing services, locum tenens (temporary physician staffing) and physician permanent placement services.
