UPDATE: Electronic Arts (EA) Off Highs As PE Rumors Questioned

Electronic Arts Inc. (Nasdaq: EA) is moving off earlier rumor-driven highs on a tweet from CNBC's David Faber suggesting private equity takeover rumors from the New York Post may not be all that they are cracked up to be.
Faber states: "Sources tell me Providence has not spoken with $EA and has no interest in buying company."
Shares of EA are up 5.5 percent after trading up 10 percent earlier.
