SodaStream International (Nasdaq: SODA) will test some Pepsi (NYSE: PEP) -branded products, according to reports from Bloomberg, citing industry newsletter Beverage Digest. Testing will take place in Florida.
The report went on to say Pepsi is looking at various in-home dispenser platforms.
Heavily-shorted SodaStream has long been rumored to be involved with some type of deal with Pepsi, although reports earlier in the year suggested a takeover was being considered. Still, bulls will welcome any positive news for the in-home beverage machine maker.
A Pepsi spokesman confirmed the test in an email to Bloomberg.
