Gun Makers on Watch on Connecticut Elementary School Shooting

December 14, 2012 12:49 PM EST Send to a Friend
Surprisingly, gun maker Smith & Wesson (Nasdaq: SWHC) is trading higher on a day when news that at least 12 people, including children, at a Connecticut elementary school were killed is making national headlines.

The company and other gun makers could see a backlash especially because there were little kids involved.

Smith & Wesson is up 3.6%. Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is down 1%.
