Green Plains Renewable (GPRE) Continues Its Surge Higher

Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: GPRE), an ethanol company, rose an astonishing 57% last week and today is continuing to see strength in its stock. This morning Green Plains is up another 28% to approximately $5.64.
GPRE has closed up for now 10 straight sessions. With crude rising, investors are looking for alternative ways to play oil and it appears Green Plains is attracting some of those dollars.
The other ethanol plays really aren't enjoying the rally that is happening at Green Plains today.
