According to a Dow Jones headline, the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Jeffrey Lacker, has said that the bank stress tests may need to be modified.
Back in February, StreetInsider.com published a report questioning the accountability of these stress tests. We recognized that both the baseline and "adverse" scenario's seemed somewhat optimistic. We are not hearing any more details related to the comment, but we would assume that the prior assumptions are now turning out to be somewhat pollyannish.
