Federal Reserve says there has been no discussions with the GSEs - Fannie Mae (NYSE: FNM) and Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) - about access to the discount window. Dow Jones cites Federal Reserve spokesperson.
A few hours ago, Reuters reported that conversations between the Federal Reserve (Ben Bernanke) and the GSEs did take place. However, Reuters clarified by saying that it couldn't be confirmed.
