A123 Systems (Nasdaq: AONE) shares are moving early on lighter volatility as the stock approaches one key technical indicator.
According to market data, A123 is moving above its 100-day SMA, which is currently situated at $1.40, based on Monday's close.
Volatility on the move is down about 11 percent since yesterday.
Last week, shares were volatile following the announcement of new battery technology. Investors sent shares 52 percent higher, but those losses were dropped as traders looked further ahead.
Today, A123 is retesting those near-term highs on stronger volume. Shares are up about 9.8 percent.
