Waste Connections (WCN) Raises Buyback Plan By $300M
Waste Connections, Inc. (NYSE: WCN) announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a $300 million increase to its ongoing common stock repurchase program, increasing the total authorized amount the Company may repurchase from $500 million to $800 million.
The Board also extended the program's term through December 31, 2012. Prior to this increase, and as of September 30, 2009, the remaining maximum dollar value of shares available for repurchase under the program was approximately $40 million.
