Zareba Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZRBA) 43.8% HIGHER; announced, on a preliminary basis, that it expects FY09 sales of $32.2 million, which compares to $34.6 million in the same quarter last year. Meanwhile, income from operations is expected to range from $1.9-$2.0 million, and income before taxes from continuing operations is expected to range from $1.3-$1.4 million for FY09, as compared to losses of $6.3 million and $7.0 million, respectively, for fiscal year 2008. Zareba also announced that it as filed a Schedule 13E-3 and related Information Statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with a proposed transaction that is intended to result in the voluntary termination of the registration of the Company's common stock under the federal securities laws. LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK) 12.1% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $2.03, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.91). Revenue for the quarter was $228.3 million, versus the consensus of $236.09 million. Sees Q3 revs of $240-$270 million, versus the consensus of $290.4 million.

Tower Semiconductor, Ltd. (Nasdaq: TSEM) 11% HIGHER; Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL) and Tower today announced they will work together to develop a new high-performance power management specialty process technology platform. Star Bulk Carriers Corp. (Nasdaq: SBLK) 7.3% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $0.06, 6 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenue for the quarter was $32.37 million, versus the consensus of $33.27 million.

U-Store-It Trust (NYSE: YSI) 7.1% LOWER; announced today that it has commenced a public offering of 22,000,000 common shares. BofA Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo Securities will serve as the joint book-running managers for the offering. The underwriters will be granted a 30-day option to purchase up to 3,300,000 additional common shares to cover overallotments, if any.

MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: MWE) 5.4% LOWER; announced today that it is commencing a public offering of 4,700,000 primary common units. In addition, an entity controlled by a director of the general partner of the Partnership is selling an additional 300,000 secondary common units. The Partnership has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase a maximum of 750,000 additional primary common units to cover over-allotments, if any.
