Ebix, Inc. (EBIX) Repurchased 1.64M Shares Since August 1

Ebix, Inc.(Nasdaq: EBIX) reported an update to its earlier press release on 25th August 2014, regarding its stated intent to purchase $80 million of stock over the next 12 months.

The Company reported that it has repurchased 1,642,880 shares cumulatively since 1st August 2014, from the PlanetSoft shareholders and on the open market. The Company's diluted share count is now approximately 37 million shares. This share buyback includes 1,433,224 purchased from the open market and 209,656 shares from the PlanetSoft shareholders.

The Company also announced that it intends to continue with the share buyback over the next few years, with a plan to drive long-term value for its shareholders.
