SureWest Communications (Nasdaq: SURW) 43% HIGHER; Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNSL) and SureWest have entered into a definitive agreement under which Consolidated will acquire all the outstanding shares of SureWest in a cash and stock transaction valued at $23.00 per share.
O'Charley's Inc. (NASDAQ: CHUX) 41.7% HIGHER; Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (NYSE: FNF) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding common stock of O'Charley's that it does not currently own for $9.85 per share in cash. Reported Q4 EPS of ($0.38), which may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.22). Revenue for the quarter came in at $182.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $181.03 million.
BioLineRx (Nasdaq: BLRX) 33% HIGHER; the company signed a worldwide, exclusive license agreement with Genoscience and RFS Pharma to develop and commercialize BL-8030, an orally available treatment for Hepatitis C. The agreement includes upfront license fees, milestones and royalties payable to both companies, which terms are consistent with BioLineRx’s standard in-license agreements.
Motricity (Nasdaq: MOTR) 24.3% HIGHER; stock up more than 60 percent since crossing above the 200-day smooth moving average on Thursday of last week.
Threshold Pharma (Nasdaq: THLD) 23.8% HIGHER; after jumping more than 130 percent on Friday amid news of a commercialization agreement with Merck (NYSE: MRK), the stock is over the $3 level today.
Smith Micro Software (Nasdaq: SMSI) 20% HIGHER; shares opened above their 200-day moving average and are trading higher on substantially heavier than average volumes.
Sohu.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOHU) 15% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.36, $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of $1.24. Revenue for the quarter came in at $246 million versus the consensus estimate of $243.75 million. Sees Q1 2012 EPS of $0.50-$0.55, versus the consensus of $1.13. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $219-$225 million, versus the consensus of $238.15 million.
Medco Health (NYSE: MHS) 12.8% LOWER; Reuters reporting the FTC is collecting evidence aimed at blocking the Medco/Express Scripts (Nasdaq: ESRX) deal.
Changyou.com (NASDAQ: CYOU) 11.6% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.33, $0.24 better than the analyst estimate of $1.09. Revenue for the quarter came in at $137.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $124.08 million. Sees Q1 2012 EPS of $1.08-$1.12, versus the consensus of $1.13. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $130-$134 million, versus the consensus of $128.4 million.
