NeuroMetrix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NURO) 43.8% HIGHER; today announced that it has completed its private placement of common stock and warrants. Gross proceeds from the offering were approximately $18.7 million. The primary use of the capital will be to expand its direct US sales force, increase its international presence, fund certain clinical outcome studies, advance its lead potassium channel blocker compound to a Phase I milestone, as well as for other general working capital purposes.
COMARCO (Nasdaq: CMRO) 42.7% HIGHER; reports Q2 loss of $0.09, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.27). Revenue for the quarter was $7.6 million, versus the consensus of $2.68 million.
Altair Nanotechnologies (Nasdaq: ALTI) 31.7% HIGHER; shares are technically breaking out today as the stock held over its 200-day SMA yesterday and also closed above the psychological $1 level. Volume is almost 600% above its average daily volume.
Speedus Corp. (Nasdaq: SPDE) 28.9% HIGHER; Density Dynamics, a majority owned subsidiary of Speedus, announced today it has signed an International Representation agreement covering India with Graphay, Inc.
Compton Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: CMZ) 19.3% LOWER; announced last night that it has filed a preliminary short form prospectus in each of the provinces of Canada, except Quebec, in connection with a potential public offering of units of Compton. Each Unit will consist of one common share in the capital of Compton and one full common share purchase warrant of Compton, as determined in the context of the market.

Brady Corp. (NYSE: BRC) 9.3% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.43, ex-items, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter was $287.2 million, versus the consensus of $291.33 million. Sees FY10 EPS of $1.60-$1.80, versus the consensus of $1.78. Sees FY sales at or near current level through 1H.
