Geokinetics Inc. (AMEX: GOK) 29.4% HIGHER; awarded a $110 million seismic acquisition contract from Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX). The project, which commences late in the fourth quarter 2010 and will last through early 2012, will be for a seamless Ocean Bottom Cable, Transition Zone and land seismic data acquisition survey.
Dynavox Inc. (Nasdaq: DVOX) 22.4% LOWER; reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.16, versus the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter was $33.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $34.14 million. Sees FY10 rev growth of 14 - 17% and an adjusted EPS of $0.56 - $0.62. Consensus sees revs of $133.44 million and an EPS of $0.59.
Energy Focus, Inc. (Nasdaq: EFOI) 20.5% LOWER; it seems as if EFOI shares will not be able to hold above the $2 level; technicians are all over the stock today following a 12% decline over the last two trading sessions. Volume is extremely heavy today.
Gerber Scientific (NYSE: GRB) 19.1% HIGHER; reports Q2 operating EPS of $0.06, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter was $118.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $116.70 million.
Superconductor Tech (Nasdaq: SCON) 15.0% LOWER; prices their 4 million common stock offering at $1.50. The company expects gross proceeds of $6 million, with net proceeds of $5.3 million.
Doral Financial (NYSE: DRL) 14.8% HIGHER; shares appear to be breaking above a resistance level around $1.40. Volume is extremely heavy today but we are not hearing any company-specific news from Doral.
Zanett (Nasdaq: ZANE) 14.2% HIGHER; although no news has hit the stock today, traders are "buying the dip". Prior to today's sharp move higher, Zanett shares had closed down or flat for almost the last 3 weeks (about 13 trading sessions). Over this span, the stock tumbled about 30%.
Jo-Ann Stores (NYSE: JAS) 14.0% HIGHER; reports Q2 ongoing EPS of $0.20, vs. the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter was $439.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $437.08 million. Raises its FY11 EPS guidance from $2.95-$3.10 to $3.20-$3.35, which compares to the Street estimate of $3.23.
GigaMedia Ltd. (Nasdaq: GIGM) 11.7% LOWER; reports Q2 non-GAAP loss of $0.15, versus $0.01 reported for the same period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter was $10.86 million, compared to $37.73 million in Q209.
rue21 (NYSE: RUE) 11.1% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.26, 2 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter was $143 million, which compares to the estimate of $164.33 million. Sees Q3 EPS of 25-27c, vs. the consensus of 42c. Reaffirms FY10 outlook.
