Provectus Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE: PVCT) 46.8% LOWER; announced the pricing of a "best efforts" public offering of 240,000 shares of Series B Convertible Preferred Stock (which are initially convertible into an aggregate of 24,000,000 shares of common stock) and warrants initially exercisable to purchase an aggregate of 24,000,000 shares of common stock with a public offering price of $25.00 for a combination of one share of Series B Convertible Preferred Stock and a warrant to purchase one share of common stock.

AEP Industries (Nasdaq: AEPI) 43.0% HIGHER; Berry Plastics Group, Inc. and AEP Industries have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Berry will acquire all of the outstanding shares of AEP in a cash and stock transaction. Aggregate consideration will be $765 million, including AEP’s net debt. Each AEP shareholder will elect to receive either $110 in cash or 2.5011 shares of Berry common stock per AEP share in the transaction, subject to an overall 50/50 proration to ensure that 50% of the total outstanding AEP shares are exchanged for the cash consideration.

Guess? (NYSE: GES) 23.8% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.14, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $545 million versus the consensus estimate of $550.53 million. Guess? sees FY2017 EPS of $0.62-$0.75, versus the consensus of $0.60.

Vanda Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: VNDA) 19.0% HIGHER; said to win a ruling over patent for Fanapt.

Corium International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CORI) 14.5% HIGHER; continuing higher from Wednesday after announcing that it received favorable written feedback from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the company’s Pre-Investigational New Drug Application (PIND) submission for once-weekly transdermal Corplex Memantine.

Dollar General (NYSE: DG) 13.7% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.08, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.09. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.39 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.5 billion. On August 24, 2016, the Board of Directors authorized an additional $1.0 billion for share repurchases, increasing the total authorization for future repurchases to approximately $1.4 billion. The authorization has no expiration date.

Chembio Diagnostics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CEMI) 13.5% HIGHER; announced that it has been awarded a contract for up to $13.2 million in total funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS); Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response; Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) for the development and commercialization of the Company’s rapid POC Zika test and Zika-related products.

Nymox Pharmaceutical (Nasdaq: NYMX) 13.5% HIGHER; also continuing higher from Wednesday after announcing successful new study results from the long-term blinded placebo crossover group from the U.S. Phase 3 trials for fexapotide, the Company's lead compound in late stage development for enlarged prostate (BPH) and for localized prostate cancer.

Signet Jewelers (NYSE: SIG) 13.1% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.14, $0.31 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.45. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.44 billion. Comps fell 2.3%. Signet Jewelers sees FY2017 EPS of $7.25-$7.55, versus the consensus of $8.22.

Amedica (Nasdaq: AMDA) 12.1% LOWER; retracing following solid gains this week.

RiceBran Technologies (Nasdaq: RIBT) 11.0% LOWER; On August 18, 2016, RiceBran Technologies (the "Company") received a notification letter from The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC ("Nasdaq") indicating that the Company has failed to comply with the minimum stockholders' equity requirement of Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(b)(1). Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(b)(1) requires that companies listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market maintain a minimum of $2,500,000 in stockholders' equity for continued listing. The Company's Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 reported stockholders' equity (deficit) of ($36,000).
