Celebrate Express (Nasdaq: BDAY) 63% HIGHER; announced that it will be acquired by Liberty Media (Nasdaq: LINTA) for $3.90 per share.

The Andersons, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANDE) 27.4% HIGHER; today announced that it expects its FY08 EPS to exceed previous guidance: the company now sees EPS in the range of $4.40-$4.80, up from the previous estimate of $3.65 to $4.00. The Street consensus is currently $3.79.

AZZ Inc. (NYSE: AZZ) 24% HIGHER; reports Q1 earnings of $0.82 per share, above the consensus of $0.54. Revenues came in at $100 million, versus the consensus of $90.1 million. Sees FY09 EPS of $2.95-$3.05 versus the consensus of $2.43.

SunOpta Inc. (Nasdaq: STKL) 22.8% LOWER; related to the Audit Committee's investigation, the Board has suggest several changes to a number of internal processes and procedures and certain management positions. In this regard, Steve Bromley, CEO and John Dietrich, CFO, will be transitioning from their current positions by no later than the end of the year. Steve Bromley will continue to serve on the Board of Directors until his Term Ends at the Annual Meeting in 2009, and he will not be re-nominated to the Board at that time.

Christopher & Banks Corporation (NYSE: CBK) 21.5% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.32, 6 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $159.6 million vs. $152.99 million consensus. For the second quarter of fiscal 2009, the Company currently estimates that earnings per diluted share will range from $0.00 to $0.03. (Consensus is $0.11)

Finish Line (Nasdaq: FINL) 18.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.02, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenues for the quarter were $287.9 million, versus the consensus of $281.34 million.

Golden Star Resources Ltd. (AMEX: GSS) 16.5% LOWER; today announced that the cost of power from the national grid in Ghana will be increased as a result of higher world oil prices. Golden Star expects the power rate increase to be effective July 1, 2008, with rates rising to a range of $0.20 to $0.24 per kWh compared to the present rate of $0.10 per kWh. For Golden Star this new power rate would translate into an increase of $60 to $85 per ounce based on forecasted production.

Tri-Valley Corporation (AMEX: TIV) 14.8% HIGHER; has exceeded 2,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOED) rate with total field production recorded at 2,058.3 BOED from its 43 active producing wells on six California properties. This surpasses the original year end 2008 Company Plan of 2,000 BOED by more than six months.

Steelcase Inc. (NYSE: SCS) 13.8% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.16, 6 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenues for the quarter were $815.7 million, versus the consensus of $812.04 million. Sees Q2 EPS in the range of $0.15-$0.20, versus the consensus of $0.24. Sales for the quarter are expected to be up 3-7% from last year's reported $825.2 million during the quarter.

Hydrogenics (Nasdaq: HYGS) 13.3% HIGHER; after announcing yesterday that it has provided an integrated hydrogen generation system to Shell Hydrogen, the stock broke through technical resistance levels in pre-market trading and gapped higher. Shares appear to have broken out of a trading channel on the news.
