STAAR Surgical Company (Nasdaq: STAA) 106.4% HIGHER; announced that the FDA has granted 510(k) clearance for its Epiphany Injector System for use with the Affinity Collamer Three-Piece NTIOL and the Elastimide Silicone NTIOL. Introduction of the Epiphany will usher in a new era of insertion devices for the company and pave the way for the future introduction of a preloaded injector for the U.S. market.

Spartech (NYSE: SEH) 38.4% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.20, 16 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.04 and compared to $0.16 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $234.3 million, versus the consensus of $276.45 million.

Corel (Nasdaq: CREL) 36.1% HIGHER; not hearing any news or rumors related to the stock, but the price action could suggest traders are speculating that a takeover bid could be coming. Back in early 2008, the company's largest shareholder, Vector Capital, offered to buy the remaining shares for $11, but by the end of summer, the firm had withdrawn its bid.

Chindex International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHDX) 25.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.22, 12 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.10 and compared to a loss of $0.20 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $60 million, versus the consensus of $50.48 million.

Human Genome Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: HGSI) 23.3% HIGHER; today announced the presentation of results from a long-term Phase 2 continuation trial showing that BENLYSTA(TM) (belimumab, formerly LymphoStat-B(R)) was associated with sustained improvement in disease activity across multiple clinical measures, decreased frequency of disease flares, and was generally well tolerated through four years on treatment in combination with standard of care in patients with serologically active systemic lupus erythematosus. The results were presented today in Copenhagen at the 2009 Congress of the European League Against Rheumatism.

K-V Pharma (NYSE: KV-A) 23.1% HIGHER; shares are continuing higher today following a 44% jump yesterday on news that the company has entered into a settlement agreement with Purdue Pharma L.P. of Stamford, Conn., in regard to the patent infringement lawsuit between the two companies.

Synthesis Energy Systems (Nasdaq: SYMX) 16% LOWER; following a presentation at the Deutsche Bank Alternative Energy/Clean Tech Conference held yesterday, traders seem to be booing select financial highlights that the company issued: cash and cash equivalents at the end of the the March quarter were $98.6 million, with working capital at $91.4 million.

Linktone Ltd. (Nasdaq: LTON) 15.1% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.01, compared to a loss of $0.17 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $14.8 million, versus $16.5 million in Q108. Sees Q2 gross revenue of $17-$18 million.

XTENT (Nasdaq: XTNT) 14.3% LOWER; volatility in this name recently has been off the charts. June 4th, when the company announced FDA approval news, the stock surged 400%, adding 30% the next day, only to fall 70% over the next 2 trading sessions. Yesterday, shares of XTENT were up 28%.

GreenHunter Energy (AMEX: GRH) 10.5% LOWER; correcting today following a 180% run-up over the last 2 days. The stock has been surging with crude oil prices.

lululemon athletica Inc. (Nasdaq: LULU) 7.9% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.09, 1 cent better than estimates. Revenues came in at $81.7 million, versus the consensus of $74.23 million. Q1 same store sales fell 8%. lululemon sees Q2 EPS of $0.08-$0.09, versus the consensus of $0.11. Sees Q2 revs of $85-$90 million, versus the consensus of $83.1 million.
