ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: ACAD) 137% HIGHER; today announced it has established a collaboration with Biovail Laboratories International SRL, a subsidiary of Biovail Corporation (NYSE: BVF), to co-develop and commercialize pimavanserin, ACADIA's proprietary and selective 5-HT2A inverse agonist, in the United States and Canada. Crosstex Energy (Nasdaq: XTXI) 42.3% HIGHER; the stock is spiking today amid rising natural gas prices (the US Natural Gas Fund (NYSE: UNG) is up 3% today) and a broad-based rally in the energy and commodities sectors. Shares of Crosstex have already traded 2.1 million times, much heavier than its average daily volume of just 474,000 shares.

China Direct (Nasdaq: CDII) 38.4% HIGHER; Chinese raw material and manufacturing stocks are en fuego today as data earlier today showed that China's manufacturing expanded for the first time in nine months.

National Coal Corp. (Nasdaq: NCOC) 36.4% HIGHER; seeing substantial upside today as Goldman Sachs upgraded the entire America Coal sector from Neutral to Attractive this morning. The Market Vectors-Coal ETF (NYSE: KOL) is up 11.2% today.

Empire Resorts (Nasdaq: NYNY) 35.7% HIGHER; shares are continuing higher this week following a 19% surge on Friday on news that Governor David Paterson requested the withdrawal of a January 2008 Guidance Memorandum that abruptly derailed the St. Regis Mohawk $600 million casino project at the Monticello Raceway, which is owned by the Company, as well as dozens of other Native American land to trust applications for gaming projects across the United States.

The E.W. Scripps Company (NYSE: SSP) 10.9% LOWER; reports Q1 adj-loss of $0.24, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.13). Revenue for the quarter was $205.4 million, versus the consensus of $202.30 million.
