Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 4/5: NADX, AEZS, KERX, SMMX, CAMP Higher; ABCW, WHI, ERI, RFMI Lower

National Dentex Corporation (NASDAQ: NADX) 68% HIGHER; entered into a definitive agreement and plan of merger to be acquired by GDC Holdings, Inc., which is a holding company of GeoDigm Corporation, a technology based manufacturing and laboratory company and a portfolio company of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe XI, L.P. Under the terms of the merger agreement, National Dentex’s shareholders will receive $17.00 in cash for each share of National Dentex common stock they hold.

Anchor BanCorp Wisconsin Inc. (NASDAQ: ABCW) 29.8% LOWER; today announced it and Badger Anchor Holdings, LLC had mutually agreed to terminate their agreements which granted Badger Holdings exclusivity through March 31, 2010, with respect to negotiating an investment in Anchor. The parties announced the agreements in December 2009, and agreed to terminate them on March 31, 2010.

Æterna Zentaris Inc. (NASDAQ: AEZS) 27% HIGHER; today announced that its partner, Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, was granted Fast Track designation by the U.S. FDA for perifosine (KRX-0401), the Company's novel, potentially first-in-class, oral anti-cancer agent that inhibits the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt pathway, for the treatment of refractory advanced colorectal cancer. Keryx is Æterna Zentaris' partner and licensee for perifosine in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Æterna Zentaris has also out-licensed perifosine to Handok in South Korea while retaining rights for the rest of the world.

Symyx Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMMX) 23.6% HIGHER; Accelrys, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACCL) and Symyx announced merger agreement that will establish a new leader in scientific informatics software.

CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP) 17% HIGHER; today announced that its Wireless Networks business has entered into three new supply contracts with an aggregate value of $15.2 million, increasing the backlog of this business to a record level. The three contracts are with customers in the Rail Transportation, Public Safety and Utility Smart Grid sectors. Work on each contract is expected to begin immediately with the majority of the revenues expected to be recognized in the current and next fiscal year.

Microvision (NASDAQ: MVIS) 14.6% HIGHER; announced today that it has received an $8.5 million purchase order for its new ultra-miniature PicoP laser projection display engine from a consumer electronics customer. The OEM plans to embed the PicoP engine inside a high-end mobile media player for release in late 2010 and plans to announce its launch at that time.

W Holding Company (NYSE: WHI) 11.7% LOWER; in its 10-K last week, the company disclosed that the FDIC has granted a request to roll over some deposits. The company also said that financials for last year will be affected by a large loan loss provision.

Emrise (NYSE: ERI) 10.8% LOWER; last week the stock couldn't hold above the $1 level. The stock sold-off by more than 11% on Thursday of last week.

RF Monolithics (Nasdaq: RFMI) 9% LOWER; not hearing any company-specific news. Volume is heavy today as the stock pushed below the $1.20 resistance level.

RXi Pharma (Nasdaq: RXII) 7.8% LOWER; since announcing a 2.7 million share offering at $6/share on March 23, shares have tumbled by almost 60%. The stock is continuing lower today, pushing toward the $4 level.
