Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 4/2: TRW, CYOU, DPTR, LCUT, MGM Higher; TZA, DDSS, FAZ, MANH Lower
TRW Automotive (NYSE: TRW) 37.4% HIGHER; anything related to autos is ripping higher today as sentiment has turned less-bearish following yesterday's better-than-expected March sales results. TRW was also upgraded from Underweight to Neutral at JPMorgan earlier.
Changyou (Nasdaq: CYOU) 37.1% HIGHER; the first Nasdaq IPO of '09 is going over extremely well today. The stock has already traded more than 6 million times after the issue priced at the high-end of its range -- $16. Click here for the full report.
Delta Petroleum (Nasdaq: DPTR) 36.8% HIGHER; the stock has already doubled its average daily volume and shares have now broke through the $1.50 level. While Kirk Kerkorian's Tracinda Corp. entered into a Contingent Payment Rights Purchase Agreement last night, investors are likely trading the stock on technicals today.
Lifetime Brands (Nasdaq: LCUT) 26% HIGHER; since announcing an amendment to a credit agreement on Tuesday night, shares of LCUT have surged by more than 78%. The stock is once again seeing heavier-than-usual volume today.
MGM MIRAGE (NYSE: MGM) 25% HIGHER; The WSJ reported late last night that Colony Capital is discussing a possible investment in MGM MIRAGE's City Center project in Las Vegas. The other casino stocks are also trading higher: Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) is up 12.3% and Wynn Resorts (Nasdaq: WYNN) is up 14.6%.
Crocs (Nasdaq: CROX) 23.3% HIGHER; shares are breaking out after pushing through an area of technical resistance around $1.40. The stock has already traded more than 2 million times, on pace to quadruple its average daily volume.
Direxion Small Cap Bear 3x (NYSE: TZA) 17% LOWER; this ETF is sliding today as small-cap stocks are outperforming the broader markets. The Russell 2000, an average made up of only small-cap stocks, is currently up 5.4% while the Dow is up 3.7%.

AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE: AU) 8.8% LOWER; as gold is often viewed as a hiding place during periods of extreme financial stress, the entire sector is sinking today given the strength in the broader markets.
